Jonathan is the Senior College’s sage of meditation. This semester he will be teaching a course in mindfulness based stress reduction. He hopes to take the “mystery” out of meditation and look at how it relates to the conscious and unconscious mind. Meditation is a way of quieting the brain in order to look at your own mind and how it functions. His work experience includes Staff Development Coordinator for the Maine Department of Labor Bureau and Labor Standards. For 10 years he was Visiting Scholar Harvard School of Public Health. He also taught courses in ergonomics and occupational health and safety at the Central Maine Technical College.
